In between coats of finish on a project I'm working on I decided to turn this ragged little cutoff of a piece of walnut. It showed promising grain but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. It's about 6"x2 1/4".

I like to use shellac or Deft Lacquer followed by buffing it up with the Beal system.
