Hi All,
I got an inquiry about my exhaust system and have told the guy that I would post the answers here so all can see...
Question:
> What do you think about using the dust collector bag
> instead of a pipe out of the extractor?
> Any disadvantage or it's just the inconvenience of cleaning it?
Answer:
I would not use the bag as there us usually nothing to catch. I use a house return-vent air filter in front of the exhaust port so nothing leaves the enclosure.
I use the pipe from the extractor fan to get the outlet away from the inlet. I didn't want it to short circuit the fumes back into the garage. Setting it over the roof there is almost always a breeze to take any fumes towards the back of the garage. I have seen extractors with no outlet pipe. I tend to over-kill as I may be burning stuff like white leather which can be colored with Chromium Cyanide and I do NOT want that coming back inside. :D

Home Depot and Lowes have them, I also noticed them in Ace hardware if you have one local.
