My wife and I are having our 5th anniv.(wood) coming up soon so I thought I would give this a try. Unfortunately I have had to sell off most of my power tools save for a small 4 inch King-Seeley Jointer and an old Craftsman bandsaw. So most of this was done with handtools (miterbox/handplaner/rasp/sandpaper/glue/HF clamps). Look for the heart in the bottom. Dried the wood in the microwave after cutting it out of some cherry rounds a friend gave me. This was interesting cutting on the bandsaw standing on 1 leg. Some of you may recall seeing my leftankle photos with the EFD Device attached to the outside. Its gone but still have to operate out of a wheelchair most of the time.Simple Boiled Linseed oil finish and wax to come. There is a small thumbslot indentation made on the 1 end to lift the top

Beautiful job. It's always enjoyable to go from trunk to treasure. Well done.
