Very nice looking piece, Keith. I just commented on blur on your other post so... thanks for the explanation as I thought it might just be my eyes aging. The fact you made the chest-board in 7th grade is going to add more intrique to family history as this piece gets passed.

Added an inlay around the perimeter of the chessboard. Amazing how little defining features make something 'pop'

yeah I'm still stuck with my cameraphone until my daughter gets back. :) But if you look at the two (the one on the left is the original) the second I inlaid curly maple 1/8th in strips around the perimeter of the chessboard.
