Hi there Creekers,

Looking for help with painting clear acrylic. I am a newbie and all my work to date has been with wood. I would like to paint(neon colors) both sides of 1/8" acrylic then cut. What should a use for paint? Will cutting after painting cause blistering? Past post mention a product called Fusion not sure if availiable in neon colors.

Fusion works well but if not available in neon colors there is a fusion primer that will work with Krylon neon colors over it. As for cutting, apply transfer tape after the paint is thoroughly dry and it will cut just fine, though I have cut painted acrylic without it with no problems on darker colors. You can use any paint, even latex on acrylic, but it can chip or peel off easily if handled a lot.
