Here are 2 Ash bowls I did for the art show, I used the microwave to dry them, did not have a scale so I just put them in for 40 sec let them cool then did it of a number over 3 to 4 weeks. left the on the counter and put them in the mic every now and then ,they dried out nicely I though . They are both about 9" round & 6" tall . the picture are not very good need to get one of those tents and lights.

Those are so nice. I like the contrasting colors and the bark is beautiful. Great job. How is ash to turn?

Joseph - nice work on both bowls! Really like the form on the 'birds mouth' style! Hope you do (did) well at the art show!

Can laquer finish. too Lazy to get out the sprayer to do it unless I have a lot to spray ,do not like to clean out the gun after . They have a new system for spraying that uses a blader that you throw away . im looking into that ,Laquer is a lot cheeper by the gal or 5 gal .

Sorry but I'm gonna be real here when I say I don't think the forms are appealing. they're nice bowls but I dislike the form. but good job on keeping most of the bark intact.

Great looking wood! The first one is my favorite. The finish is great!
