Triton 2 1/4 HP Router

I haven't used this router in a while and was going to put in a 1/2" spiral bit in. It wouldn't fit in the collit, so I took the collet nut off and thought I would try to pull the collet out to relieve any stress. I've been unsuccessful in removing the 1/2" collet. I know this is a "double clutch" system (don't know what to properly call it) where you un-loosen the collet nut, it sticks again, and you continue to un-loosen until you can remove the router bit. I don't know how, but it appears the collet is stuck in between the two loosenings??? Any suggestions? Thanks

Well, I did get the collet out, but still can't get a router bit in the collet. It must have gotten sprung (sp?). Any ideas about resetting the collet, or am I going to have to order a new one? Thanks,

are you sure its not a 8mm collet
