making a usa map

Does anyone have a source for information as to where I can locate the offical wood of each state? I would like to make a map of the usa useing each states offical wood. I would like to have about a board foot from each state,it would be nice to buy it all from one source, but that likely will'nt be the case. thanks bob

Bob, I am not sure if there is an official state wood for each state, but I do know each state has an official state tree. If that is what you mean, or not, you could use the wood from each species of the state designation. Sounds like a neat project! Here is a link for ya for that information:
