My latest project requires a lot of bending of big pieces. So I had to break down and buy this 9'x4' vac bag from Joe woodworker. Every time I get to bend in a bag it amazes me. The pieces you see here are 6 layers thick to total 3/4". The layers are almost invisible. I'm using the Excell-1 vacuum which is a small one but it kicks butt.

Nice work. I really enjoy vacuum pressing. What adhesive did you use and how much open time did you have?

Bill

What did a set-up like that cost?

Thanks. I used plastic resin glue. DAP I think. It comes as a powder. Set up time was only a few minutes in our desert heat. I was rolling glue and my assistants were flipping and mounting to the form. We had each one in the bag in less than 5 minutes. The second time around I used cooler water to mix it with. As far as price goes, you can set up a vacuum system for under $500.00 bucks depending on bag size. If you have any advice, I'm all ears.:)
