I have been turning for almost a year now. Lately hollow forms are that which draws me closest to the fire. Here are some of my first hollow form pieces that are not going in the firestarter bucket. These pieces were made from a neighbor's tree. She moved away a couple of years ago after living in her home for over 40 plus years. I will be finishing the last piece and sending these to her. I hope she can gift them to her kids and grandkids.

He is a link to a pictorial of the making of the last piece. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hubbabubba_60525/sets/72157621815965897/show/

Dude - you been holding out! Very nice work! I have to think your ex-neighbor is going to be thrilled to receive these hollow forms! They will make for some great pieces of family history! Very nice work! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Mark,

It's been awhile since I posted a comment..
Your HF's convinced me to tell you what I think.

I'm amazed that you have accomplished so much in less than 1 year.
I look back on my first years work... they pale in comparison to yours.

I look forward to seeing future turnings from you.

Very nice work Mark, and a very considerate gesture to your former neighbor. Sure to be much appreciated by the recipient(s).
