Sold Some Cherry Stoppers

I have a friend who owns some stores in Northern Michigan that sells nothing but products made from cherries. I came up with the idea to make cherry shaped stoppers made from cherry wood. My brother gave me an assist by making four stands out of cherry. My friend bought 15 to try them out and I also placed them in two other places on consignment.

At first glance, I thought they were apples also. They look good, but if they're supposed to be cherries why not use a cherry color wood? Or you could stain them, black cherry. They'll probably do very well in the Traverse area

I will try some dye when I make some more. Did not make it for the Cherry Festival in Traverse City but it is still like Woodstock up there. I know they look like apples and I bought a DVD on how to make fruit and bought cherries but there is not much difference.
