Some slightly spalted Magnolia that Joe Meazle recently put me onto. This is the second piece of it that I've turned so far and I'm really enjoying it. Turns easy and cuts/finishes nicely. I used Seal-a-Cell on this bowl for the finish.

Beautiful bowl, Mark. I've never turned Magnolia but I really like the look of it. I like the rim, too.

In the last pic, with the bowl upside down and the flared rim, it reminds me of a WWI Doughboy helmet. :)
