I am in the northern Wisconsin area and I know of only one guy (a buddy of mine) that saws wood. He usually only has pine which I do use a lot of. (I am into the rustic looking furniture lot of half log corners and drawer fronts etc.) I have had people asking me to build some projects recently though from different types of wood. Walnut, maple, oak, ash, are some of what I am looking for. Is there anyone in my area that might have a good place to go? I do have some lumber yards/mills in my area I am just wondering if anyone would have a recomendation first.
Thanks

Where in Northern Wisconsin? There is a mill and kiln in Hurly that has great pricing and some really fine maple. They are Snowbelt Hardwood and they currently have every species that you mentioned. http://www.snowbelthardwoods.com/stockavailable.html

There is also a sawyer in Fifield who has some oak.
