I know some don't consider these "real" turning, but I really like this hobby because I think the pens are pretty! This is a black titanium Jr Gent II rollerball kit with a Cetacean Seas polyresin blank from exoticblanks.com. Sanded through 1200g, then polished with Novus #3 & #2 plastic polish. Thanks for looking and, to be clear, I am not trying to be defensive to those who don't like penturning -- dull world indeed if we all thought alike!

Jim,
That's a beautiful pen. The plating on the pen kit works very well with the blank. You did a very nice job polishing up the plastic -- it looks like you can see deeply into the midst of the blue swirl. You also did a nice job getting all the parts to fit together well. Well done.

Jim,
I use the Novus on my PR and acrylic blanks also, and I have yet to find anything that works better. Very nice.

Jim - I haven't turned a pen yet - so have no idea of all the steps involved in creating one - but I do know what I like and this pen is a beauty! Love the attention grabbing color! Very nice work! Thanks for sharing!

You can make some good money from this 'not real' turning. Especially on a piece like this. Turn whatever makes you happy, leave those others alone to themselves.

Great looking pen. I really like that color. That swirl effect is very nice the way it seems to blend in with the pen itself.
