A few months ago I tried to make a few Pagoda boxes.... Along the way, I had some nasty tear out at the top of one, or two (actually three) of the boxes.... and, never completely scrapping anything.... I managed to put this little box together today....

Fun little project - Honduran Rosewood, Curly Maple with a hint of Tulipwood....

Judicious use of scraps, Ed. But, then, you have many times exhibited your abilities in that area. I shudder to think of all the scrap I have burned, and the works of art you could have created with them!!

This one turned out very nice - particularly like the tulipwood.

Good looking scrap Ed. Do you have a local source for tulipwood? I would love to make a jewelry box for the LOML out of tulipwood and curly maple.

Jim, I was just out to Peachstate Lumber in Kennesaw...they have some, but nothing with any good width..... But, you could get some accent pieces. They are large pieces, but a lot of sapwood to work around....

They probably had a stack of about 25 boards or so....
