Do the stronghold and talon chucks use interchangeable inserts (for spindle size)? In other words, if I buy one of them for my current 1x8 spindle, can I simply get an insert when I upgrade to a bigger lathe with a 1.25x8 spindle?

Yes, that's exactly what I did.

Jake - you can always buy another adapter to fit whatever size spindle you have on your lathe. Check out the Oneway site for the different sizes available:http://www.oneway.ca/chucks/adaptors.htm

The Oneway Stronghold and the Oneway Talon us taperlock adaptors so the chucks can be used on different lathes with the purchase and use of a new taperlock adaptor. The taperlock adaptor used with the Stronghold is different from the taperlock adaptor used with the Talon.

The max spindle the Talon can fit on is 1 1/4" or 33mm

The max spindle the Stronghold can fit on is 1 1/2" or 40 mm
