Lathe Upgrade

I have just completed a lathe upgrade from a Delta Midi to a NOVA DVR XP. A good deal from Craft Supplies USA. $200 off lathe, free bed extension and free Super NOVA 3 chuck and threaded insert.

I had not planned to get the bed extension, but I could not turn down free. I had to add 4" to the top of my lathe stand.

I still have not made any chips on it --- maybe Monday

Dolan, Looks like a darn nice setup!! The shop looks real nice too, mine looks like a tornado went through it compared to yours!! Make a big mess so I don't feel bad!!

Nice lathe but what got me was the hardwood floors in your shop now that is class if my shop looked like my wife would not let me get it dirty so I'm realy impressed with your shop.

My wife was the one that convinced me to put down the snap down flooring when I built my new shop earlier this year. I had thought about it to help with foot fatigue and cleanup but dues to $$ I was reluctant. She convinced me and I am glad she did. :o
