Like Glenn, I like ladder shelves for some reason, and can't really put my finger on it. It might be the proportions that are so pleasing (tapering toward the top like so many architectural elements like church spires, etc.)

Nice job, Greg. Hard to tell, but looks like some nice figure in some of the wood. Is it maple stained, or cherry?

Nice design.. clean lines... you nailed the arc on the back to a tee which sets the piece off IMO..
