I truely enjoy turning. Time and trouble slip away when you turn on the lathe. My disasters have been as much fun as my successes so I thought that they deserved equal time.
The first photo is my third suspended bowl. It is maple with a juniper lid. My shop smells pretty good right now! I like making these and have plans for different designs.
I thought it would be fun to share the disasters because it is more fun to laugh at me than anyone else. The second photo was an attempt at a hollow form. I did not stabilize the bark inclusion...you know....one more cut and then I will do it. The last photo is the reassembled version. It was coming along ok.
The other photo is the second attempt at a suspended bowl. All is not lost, I will use it as the lid on another project.
Thanks for taking the time to look...now what about your disasters?
