Recently was introduced to the use of square hole washers. They are similar in concept to T nuts in that they have "teeth" to avoid spinning in wood. They specifically are designed to go under the heads of carriage bolts in softer woods so that when you begin to tighten the nut, the bolthead does not spin and cam out the hole. Problem is the ones I was given are now gone into a good project and I can't find a supplier for them. McFeeleys stocks stainless steel but I only need galvinized. Looking for 3/8. Anyone know of any other vendors? Google hasn't provided any other sources.

McFeeleys are stainless steel and pricey for my needs. Lee, the link you provided has a minimum purchase requirement of $100.00, much more than I need. Steve hit it on the head. McMaster Carr has them for a reasonable price $10. for a package of 25. Thanks for all the help.!!

Go to www.mcmaster.com (http://www.mcmaster.com) and then type in "97449A103" and click on "Find." $10 per box of 25.

Edit: The McFeeley's aren't that bad a deal, in light of the McMaster price for zinc.

Edit #2: Fastenal (www.fastenal.com (http://www.fastenal.com)) has them on their web page for $.34 each. If you have a local Fastenal you may want to call them and see if they have any quantity pricing that may help. Here is a link to their page for the washers.
