These are a couple of pieces I made up from an old door - circa 1946 - I salvaged from a landfill-bound bunch of stuff. The door comes from the time when "solid" did not mean veneer over particleboard; clear yellow pine through and through. Nevertheless, this one had given up most of its joints, and was warped like a banana.
I even saved the 6 or so coats of paint on it. If you can't hide the joints, highlight them.
Normally pine is a bit boring to turn, but these were fun to do, especially from wood that has been off the stump longer than I have.
