Upper corner cabinet question

Im about ready to assemble a upper corner kitchen cabinet. Since the shelves are odd shape. Can they fit in after the face frame is on or shall I put them in during assembly?
How do you do it?

It depends on how tall the opening is. If you can get the shelf through the opening "on end", then you can install them later. If not, you have to "build them in".

Always tough to comment on since the cabinet may not be what 'we' have tried. Can you do a dry fit (use some clamps to hold it together) and see if you can insert the shelf with the frame on ?

Thanks David, cabinet is 39 tall and opening is about 35 so it should fit. Only 10 inches deep.

It is well worth the effort to check out potential heart-breaking, stroke-inducing pitfalls such as this before final assembly. There may be enough wiggle room for 2 shelves but not 3! Maybe 1 but not 2. You will never know until you try.

For this very reason, I have bored pin holes all the way to the top of corner cabs. Inserting a * triangular* shelf into the already-built cab worked!....But, the shelf set at it's proper level prevented inserting the 2nd or 3rd shelfs.

I pushed the first-inserted shelf all the way to the *ceiling* and inserted shelf pins to hold it high. The 2nd was inserted, raised and pinned just below the 1st. 3rd shelf was inserted at its normal level. Then the two *high* shelves were lowered one-at-a-time onto pins set at normal level. IT WORKED!

All you have to do is insert all the shelves, allowing them to sit in the bottom of the cabinet. Then raise the each shelf to the desired position (obviously starting with the top one), put in the pins or clips and "drop" the shelf onto them.
