This is not a world class turning but the wood has a lot going on in it. Measures 7 wide by 11 with the finial. Buffed sealcoat finish.

Mike,
As always your turnings are top notch and this one is no exception. Great looking wood, form, fit and finish. Excellent!

Wrong about the turning, right about the apple. That turned out very well.

Dunno what class it is in, but most (if not all) of us would be proud to have turned it. A very nice apple, Mike.

WOW! That sure is some amazing wood! Love the form - reminds me of a hot air balloon! Very nice work on the finial as well - very delicate! Nice work - as always! Very nice photos as well! Thanks for sharing!

Nice work Mike. Lovely shape and first rate finial. Lots of grain character in this piece.

Actually this piece was turned a week or so ago, just got around to doing the finial this evening. I don't get much time to turn... just sometimes have to take the time to turn.;)

Really looks good; the apple grain is wonderful, and the spindle a nice complement. I especially like the foot size on this piece---a tiny foot really sets off the fat profile! Did you DNA soak the piece?? I've only turned a few apple pieces, but I got a few small cracks in all of them.....

Very nice Mike, I like the shape and color. I have read (probably on this site) that apple and most fruit woods can be tricky to turn.
