My recent acceptance of a couple of pieces into a local museum display has reinvigorated me and my love of turning. My latest kick has been these small lidded boxes that are a cross between Jeffrey Levine's snap lid box and Cindy Drozda's finial box. The sizes vary from but average 2" diameter and 2" high with the finial handle.

Back row:
Myrtle with Holly X 3
Middle Row:
Olive with Ebony, Box Elder Burl with Ebony, Olive with Ebony
Front Row:
Walnut Burl with Holly, and Mesquite with Holly.

Thanks
Jason

Jason,

Those are very nice boxes. I hope to be able to inspect them in person.

Well done.

Some very nice boxes Jason, and what an assortment of beautiful wood.

Keeping warm these days?

jason, lovely work and presentation. Not sure if this is intended as art or functionality, maybe something in between but my remarks is about the handles. More specifically the white ones. Extreme right is perfect, blending from the same wood but the white ones have a foreign, even synthetic slant. I'd suggest trying to keep the same wood for all but the blacks and also put a little detail into the handles, just a bit - a line or any finial element.
Keep up the great work,
Norm

Very nice collection Jason! Forms and color variations should fit right in at the museum! Hope they all sell as soon as they arrive! Nice work! Thanks for sharing!
