I like turning mallets this is the third one I've turned. So far only the head is turned.
Here is the Oak head setting on the lathe. I'll turn the handle in an evening soon. & show the completed mallet here. This mallet is another shop Mallet.

I posted another oak shop mallet pic & my first was a display mallet I.E Gavel with Purple Heart head & Maple handle & sounding block of Madrona.

Bart, Nice bunch of mallets, you never know when something or someone might need some equalization! Keep at it and one will be in the supreme court some day!

Nice mallets Bart! I haven't turned a mallet yet but when I do - I hope they turn out as nice as these!

Very nice project! That suckers going to be a whooper! I think most objects in the shop will respond when she comes swinging!

Do you drill before you turn, or after?

Bart do you glue the handle in or is it a wedge fit? They look really nice by the way.
