I picked up this little jewel south of KC Friday! (another Arthur Bryant's BBQ Lunch!)

The seller replaced this pristine 13-spindle Delta with an even larger 3ph. machine with pneumatic hold-downs. I think I can live with this one! My good fortune at only $575!

Well I don't know what I would do with the machine but I would sure take the Arthur Bryant's BBQ Lunch....:D

Very cool. I wasn't sure what it was until I googled and found out it was a line boring machine. You got a really good deal. Congratulations.

What the heck does it do?

...It drills 13 shelf standard holes (shelf pins) in one drop of the handle!

Nice gloat Chip.....If you keep this up you're gonna have a shop full of nice/great tools! ;)

Hey John! (and curious others!) Its a line-boring machine for drilling shelf pin holes in cabinetry. 13 holes at a time! It has sliding pins at each end to keep holes aligned for longer runs.

I have used a piece of pre-historic 50's 1/4" peg board (almost as hard as phenolic) as my shelf pin guide, with a 1/4" Vix bit for a long long while. I have also used the metal standards with shelf clips. I have even used a 1/4" Forstner bit! But, I just couldn't resist this Delta at that price!

Pretty cool Chip, now you can improve your productivity by drilling 13 holes in the wrong place at once:D.

Great find, congratulations.........Rod.
