It is a gun barrel. Did you do that?? I put the same thing on a 9MM glock barrel. It was a bear to line up.

I built a jig to hold just the barrel in a vertical position. If anyone wants it I could post a copy.

I actually didnt get it at first either till I photoshopped the image...I oversharpened it tho - thats why it's so grainy

Sorry for the tardiness - been at a retreat all weekend without internet.

It is a blued .40 Cal Glock and the outer ring is what might be throwing you off. What you're actually looking at is the camera sitting on the laserbit's eyepiece (monical) for closeup. That's the 'fishbowl' appearance. I wasn't too happy with the alignment, but the fella thought it was cute and left a couple other pieces to have etched on.

Also - sorry for the brightness, wanted to get it posted before I left for the retreat...

It would probably look better on the face of the retainer guide of a 1911..
