Hello from Ottawa Canada, I'm travelling to Niaraga Falls to do some shopping, I was wondering what tool stores might be around that region. Being from Canada I wouldn't know what American (or Canadian) stores to search for. I know of Woodcraft which is in Buffalo.
I'd like to browse for large stationary tools as well as smaller things while the wife goes shoe shopping :)

I know I can't see GRizzly stuff since they only sell through major warehouses, anything else?

Anyone know where I might be able to pick up a tormek grinder or clone (too bad, there's a Grizzly model I'd like to check out) or maybe a worksharp?

Maybe some bandsaws, steel city products, Jet etc. Not sure what to ask for. Anyone from around there or know what I could google for?

In Canada it's normally Busy Bee Tools, Lee Valley, and a general 'tool' search.

Thanks.

there is a Rockler store in the Buffalo area as well.

Rockler and Woodcraft should carry Tormek and Jet slow speed wet sharpeners. I bought my Jet at a Rockler and was told by users to get the Jet sharpener and tormek attachments fo rbest value and performance. I haven't used a tormek but I like my Jet sharpener.

If you are here during the week or Sat. you can check out Phillip Bro. supply on Main and Kensington at the US290. They carry Jet, Delta,Dewalt, I'm not posative but I thought they did have a tormak grinder.

If you're willing to venture 70 miles east to Rochester, there's a Woodcraft, Specialty Tools (http://www.specialtytoolsusa.com/), and a Harbor Freight. Specialty Tools is right next door to Rohrbach's microbrewery and restaurant. :) The Rockler in Buffalo is a nice store too.

Thanks guys, I'll check out Rockler for sure. I heard of the names but don't realize that these online stores are actually physical stores too.
