Well, my investment in a router table just continues to spiral upwards. I love my router, I love my Benchdog table mounted to my saw, now I want a good lift. Been looking at the Woodpecker Unilift. Anybody got advice? Other lifts?

Doesn't the 7539 have the abiltiy to be modified to adjust from the top of the table?

Yes, you can build that simple lift system, and I do have the CD & plans. I may just do that. Prolly a good idea for now.

Sheeesh! Woodpecker wants $169.99 for their Plunge Lift! Try this solution for just a few bucks. SAME results but a little less Glitzy! http://www.instructables.com/id/Ultra-cheap-router-lift/

IIRC, the 7539 is similar to the 8529, which is already set up to do the adjustments from the table top. All that may be required is to change out one of the parts, which I believe PC had a retrofit kit for, which was fairly reasonable, then you would basically have an 8529 after the retrofit kit.

Are you sure you did not mean the 7529?

Mike, Yes, I was thinking of the 7529.

For $169 you can buy a router with above the table adjustment and a router plate. I picked up a Router Raizer on Clearance for about $20 and thought it was a steal until I followed the link to the Instructables site. The Raizer I bought came with a nice speed wrench and a dust cap with a pressed in retainer to prevent the through table adjustment from getting clogged with dust.
