There is a used 8" Delta DJ-20 jointer for sale in my area. The model # is 37-350. I can only find info on the current 37-350A, and my question is what is the difference between the two, if any? Is there anything good/bad about the 37-350 versus other variants of that model that I should take into consideration? Thanks in advance.

I have an early Brazilian version of the DJ 20 and I have not seen any that are really any different mechanically. I have been served well by this machine.

I believe the only difference is that the 37-350A includes the dust port adapter.

I have one of the old ones (DJ-20), dust collection was crappy, but easy to fix with a bit of sheet metal and a few rivits, some duck tape and a bit of caulk. The chip shoot is just a big open hole with no top. Otherwise its a fine machine in teh 8" weight class. I like mine.

I have the 37-350 (Invicta/Brazil) and it is a fine machine. The *Invicta* brand raises eyebrows in a positive way, where *Chinese-made* usually causes the opposite response. Dust collection aside, the very first DJ20 is a keeper.

Cosmetically, the small *Delta DJ20* emblem on the jointer is more business-like in it's looks than the cheapie-looking *X emblem* on current machines.
