Rikon Bandsaw? good? bad?

Anyone have any expericences with the Rikon 18" bandsaw? At a trade show, it looked a lot like the Grizzly 18" except $200 cheaper. I will be using it strickly for resaw as I have a delta 14". I Am a hobbist and cannot afford a high end resaw. The Delta 14" does not have enough umph to saw the maple, birch and beech nurls/burls that I cut for turning. Grizzly 19" would be my next choice.

FWW did a review of 18" bandsaws and seemed to like it, especally at the price. I think it was a best buy, but I'm sure Becker or someone who has a better memory than mine will confurm that.

Thomas.....Cecil's correct. The June 2004 issue of FWW .....they tested 18" BSs and the Ricon 10-340 was selected as a "Best Value".
