Veritas Honing Guide

I have misplaced my honing guide instructions from years ago and would like to start using microbevels agin. Could someone please tell me how the arrow direction on the cam shaft changes the bevel. I assume when the arrow is horizontal, there is no change. Which arrow direction adds a degree and which one subtracts a degree. Thanks in advance.
