Does anyone know if the Byrd Shelix 15" planer head that Grizzly sells will fit a Powermatic Taiwanese planer? Byrd's web page has a "generic" 4 post installation manual that looks like a PM in the photos. Also all Byrd's 15" heads are the same price regardless on planer manufacturer. Grizzly has a good price and I would like to get it from them if it will fit. Thanks.

The answer is Yes, I bought one from a guy who had bought for his Powermatic. But never got around to installing it. It's in my Grizzly planer now. As a note buy new bearings don't try to use the old ones.

Hi Cary:

Thanks for the link. I just read my full model number off the side of the machine and it is on the list.
