How to build an entry door

Hi everybody,

I want to build an entry door for my new "old style" house. I built all windows in pinewood with success. But, for doors, i'm not sure if I have to laminate pinewood (if yes, witch way?). The door will have a large window, and I'm living at a place where is very cold winter and ralativelly hot summer. Should I have to insulate them?
