Haven't gloated before, but this is a good one. A good friend encouraged me to make the make the trip to Grizzly's Springfield tent sale. The free stuff they set out on Friday, I snagged a G8010 sliding table, G0577 fret board sanding attachment. At Saturdays sale, I finally got the one machine on my wish list, that never dreamed I get. A G7217 37" widebelt sander, G0644 15" widebelt sander, and a G0456 lathe. Like all things at the tent sales every thing needs work, but my outlay was only $525, I can do a little work. :D

Grizzly's next tent sale in in Muncy, PA on September 19th. I'll be going to that one too. Anyone wanting to go along drop me an PM. I'll be going up Friday afternoon and camping out at the Grizz.

I cannot attend, but if you find on of those or a 24" (or a 36") drum sander, pick it up for me.

Those prices are insane. You'd think they'd be smarter breaking the machine down and adding it to parts inventory!

Some times they do put the parts in inventory, other times just remove them as they are needed. either way it cost money to stock the parts and labor to remove and warehouse space to store the whole machines. I would guess the tent sale generate more new sales then any other day of the year. I've been to Muncy and Springfield sales and would not even want to guess the amount of people, but the place is packed. The line starts on Friday or before. It's getting to be like a tailgate party, I've met so many other woodworkers, even if I wouldn't get any deals (not that that would happen:)) I'd have a good time:D

Hello Ken

How do you like the G0644 I have been thinking about purchasing one. Everyone thinks it is underpowered but I am mainly looking to sand boards about 4 inches wide or less.
