I picked up a Hitachi M 12V router today at an auction which runs great. The guy who had it made a homemade table for it which I didn't want anyway. I took the router off the table and was wondering if anyone know if there is suppose to be a metal or plastic plate to mount on the bottom of the router.

I believe some kind of plate has to be fastened to it otherwise some of the screw heads on the bottom of the router will rub on the board your working with. Would also be nice to get a owners manual for this.

Thanks - Mike

yes, there is a black plastic sub base plate. It has countersunk holes to fit flat head screws which mount it to the base.

If you aren't going to use it in the table, I would contact Pat Warner about a base. Quite a step above what you get off the rack and not much more money.

Thanks everyone for the info, its much appreciated.

Glen:
The so-called table is actually a piece of 3/16" plate steel about 20" x 20", nothing fancy. Is Pat Warner a member of the Creek?
