Can anyone recommend a reasonable, but inexpensive, water pump?
I have a pretty decent rain barrel system, but I need to pump the water across my yard to the garden bed, and possibly see if I can hook up a sprinkler to my barrels as well.
Cheers,
Chris

bilage pump for a boat.
Rig up a battery charger to put out the needed voltage of your pump then run the pump. I use the set up to pump some pool water up a slight rise to the street.

Just might fit the bill from what you describe.
If you want to make a sprinkler work at all you will need volume and pressure. Maybee a drip or soaker hose set up would be a better alternative?

Thanks for the ideas. I hadn't even thought about a bilge pump.
