I'm picking up a pickup load of just cut walnut in the morning. The trunk is 3 ft in dia. I'm going to get the smaller stuff and take a friend to get the larger stuff.
I've done very little bowl turning, especially natural edge so I'm looking for a top notch DVD that will shorten the learning curve and show me what turning tools I might need to get. I've got a Jet mini if that makes any difference.
Thanks, Perry

I believe Bill Grumbines second DVD (Beyond the basic bowl) has a segment on turning a natural edge bowl.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give both of his videos a try.

Perry,
There are a couple of websites where there are free photographed step-by-step instructions too! IF I can find them, I'll post the link.
NEs aren't really that difficult and are one of my favorites to turn. Keeping the bark on can be a challenge sometimes but I think that has to do with the type of wood and the time of year it was cut.
Here's one link: http://www.aroundthewoods.com/wings.shtml
Here's another link: http://www.aroundthewoods.com/contents.html#con05 On this link go to the Intermediate projects where he has two tutorials on NE bowls.
BTW...I'm a big fan of Bill Grumbine's videos!

Perry I agree with Bill Grumbines and Mike Mahoney has one also.
