heres an idea for any of ya'll that have air conditioning units in the basement....if you have a condensate pump that pumps to the outside, put the pump inside a large rubbermaid storage container in case the pump quits working again.
This past week, I happened to wander down to refill my beer fridge and noticed water all over the floor. Lucky me, it hadnt been overflowing very long ... but still the potential for a disaster.
My solution for the above would buy me a little more time if the pump ever quits working again ... at least 10 gallons worth of time.
NOTE: I set the pump on top of a paint can to keep the electrical portion above the 'overflow' water level so it wouldnt short out the pump.
