A few weeks ago there was a special for $59 for a taper jig for the table saw. I was extremely busy that friday and did not get a chance to order it. Then it was sold out. I decided I would build my own version of this thing. Let me just say that if you ever see this thing for $59 again, jump all over it. It was fun to make but I could have saved myself a saturday morning for less money than I spent on parts. It does work great.

Special thanks to John Keeton who provided excellent pictures of his jig so I could get a good idea of how his was put together.

Below are the pictures and price break out.

Kreg Klamp Trak $45
Two Clamps $14
Stop $3
Knobs $8
Kreg Miter Bar $23
Jig Handle $7

Total Cost: $100 ( I already had the Piece of Melemine and Edging)

Todd, you did a tremendous job on the replication!! I like the added handle. At least you proved the original thought - the material cost exceeded the $59 sale price:(;)

Happy tapering!!
