chuck info please

Hello all. Other than the Barracuda 4. What woodworking chucks will mount directly to a 1 1/2"-8 tpi spindle? It is a Powermatic 90 lathe.Thanks!

Grizzly sells 3 3/4" chuck that is a vailable in a 1 1/2" X 8 thd. Yesterday, I bought the same chuck and 2 sets of jaws in 1" X 8 thd. The extra jaws were $19.95 a set. Rumor has it the the grizz is a copy of a Vicmarc.

I bought it on my brother in-law's recommendation. His runs very true.

or better yet the talon chuck since the swing on the pm90 isn't that big.

Alex - I have the Talon and it is a great chuck - but it will not accept the adapter needed to fit on Walter's lathe - which is 1 1/2" x 8 tpi.
