Workbench Holdfast

I bought a pair of Sjobergs Holdfasts today that I really like. I was at Woodcraft and tried them on a bench display.
They really clamp hard on a piece they are holding. There is more force than any other holdown I've tried. They look a bit unusual and I would not have purchased then if the display had not been there.

I looked at them on the website. I would never of given them a second glance just based on their looks. Good to hear that they actually work!

I asked the blacksmith at Dollywood to forge one for me (years ago). $10.00 later, I have a really good one that is used a bunch. It is also fun to show to those who don't know what it is.
