Does any one know if the 18V 3.0 AH Lithium battery from a Teal makita tool will work on the 1.5AH 18V Lithium Grey Makita tools. I ask this because I just bought a 18V Makita impact driver (teal 3.0 Ah batteries) and have been looking for a bare tool Drill on ebay to go with it. The grey 18V makita's seem to be slightly less $ than the Teal.

Thanks Loren

The batteries and tools are interchangeable.

This is from Makita's site on their BTD142HW impact driver which is pictured with a 1.5AH battery. Note below that either battery will work.

18v is 18v and apparently the contacts on both are the same so they are fully interchangeable.

UPC Code 088381-08225-9

Thanks Mark I appreciate your help. I thought they were interchangeable, but its nice to have that confirmed before I buy.

BTW, not sure if it applies here, but Makita is offering a bare tool rebate if you buy one of their LXT (3.0 Ah) tools. Look up the BDP141 on Amazon and it has the rebate details.
