Has anyone used the after market bolt on riving knife ? It is supposed to raise and lower and tilt like an O.E.M. Seems like a good add on but for $125 I would like more info than that from seller.

Hi John - I put the Bolt-On-Ripping_knife (B-O-R-K) on my saw last fall and have been happy with it. It requires a good ZCI to function properly, but works very well once you get it mounted and dialed in. Because it's a retrofit for an existing design with a swing arm, there are some considerations....it does indeed sit in close proximity to the blade, and rises, falls, and tilts with the blade, but because the swing arm pivots and moves in an arc, the riving knife travels on a longer arm than the blade so the height changes aren't exactly a 1:1 ratio, but they're close enough that it's not an issue. I set the height to be ideal at the most common wood thicknesses, and that keeps the knife height and blade height ratio very close for everything else, but it's fully and easily adjustable to make changes.

I found Bob is great to deal with and offers a 100% money back guarantee. I believe he offers some forum discounts to Woodnet members.

These pics show the height differential I mentioned:

Yeah...why does the word "****" (B-O-R-K without the hyphens) trigger the auto-censorship feature?
