Hello,

We have used ULS for the last 10 years and we have many files which use grayscale, I have tried to engrave a couple of them with the helix but I don't have any luck.
The grayscale engraves as black, I have tried lowering the dpi which works with the gray but makes the black quality unacceptable.

Any help???

Following is a picture of what I was trying to engrave, the same file is engraved in the
same piece of material

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n77/LENINCILLO/greyscale.jpg

EPILOG Speed 100, Power 30, dpi 400, I have the image dithering to standard
ULS Speed 100, Power 30, DPI 500, imaging dithering set to halftone ( I don't know if you are familiar with ULS)

Also I tried to so this in the fibermark and actually worked, the bright aluminum on top right of the picture was engraved in the fibermark

Fibermark Speed 100, Power 100, Freq 100, DPI 400 Dithering set to standard

as you can see the gloves and the lower-right side of the Texas map has 10% gray and it worked perfectly. let me know what to do please.:(

Interesting. Well it should have engraved with the percentage. Are you allowing the Epilog laser to use it's own drivers using normal or have you altered that? I have a Helix so I would be interested in looking at your cdr.

Lenin,

I ran the file on a Mini24-40W (identical to Helix except for size) and the greyscale came out just fine. Settings were 100%Speed, 40%P, 600DPI on anodized aluminum.

Any chance you're using the FiberMark driver to print to the Helix?

Helix is using "Epilog Driver Win32" i just printed them same file with the fibermark it works perfect, do you think re installing the driver will help?

I think you might have to reload your drivers. It's greyed fine on mine too.
