Beautiful work on both projects. I presume you had help on the little guy?

Congrats Josh! Nice big bowl - sort of has that bird's nest effect! LOL Enjoy the little one!

It will take a lot of work and patience to finish the smaller one!
I'm sure that the result will be wonderful!
Blessings to you and family!

Good job on both projects Josh! Cute picture. I've got two little projects of my own that ought to be ready in December.

My wife said, she'll give you $1500 for the pair. ;)

Nice work on both. You'll need to sell the bigger one to fund the one in blue.

Congratulations on both! Is the bowl for the little guy too? As I look at my teenagers, hard to imagine they were ever that small.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. One of the guys at work saw the picture and said, "That bowl will be dry long before the baby is."

I have to point out that while I obviously had help creating the baby, the fact that I was able to rough out a bowl with a 3 week old in the house is a real testament to the tolerance of my wife. I do change my share of diapers, and it's true that the log just had to be processed and turned before it started checking, but to put the credit where it's due: the bowl would not exist if it were not for her fundamental good nature and inexplicable tolerance of my quirks and strange prioritizations. (Not to mention the recent acquisition of the 3520 and Stihl 361...)

Now that we are a family of 4 (my avatar is our just-turned-4 year old) we'll see how much time I have for turning in the near term. But at least he'll have a nice "birthday bowl."

And I can pay for college by turning bassinets!http://www.sawmillcreek.org/images/icons/icon3.gif

Those pictures are absolutely priceless! Brought a smile to my face. If I were you I print it out, frame it and hang in the shop! Congratulations to you and your wife.
