Hello has anyone lasered 5160 carbon steel.This is a possble order just wanted to know what to expect,since I have not done alot of metal.

I haven't done that particular steel as far as I know but there's a good chance you can mark it directly with your laser in a raster or vector mode. You'll just have to go very slow. You'll probably remove the temper with this method so Cermark would be a better solution.

You won't have any problems with Thermark or Cermark.
