Hi all-
I am getting ready to order a leigh d4r, and have a question about the router bit sets.
Are leigh bits any good? Or would I be better served, quality and price wise, to go with another brand?
If so, what brand?
Most of the bits that I have in my arsenal are from a woodcraft kit. They are passable, but definitely leave a bit to be desired (pun intended ;))
Also, when getting these bits, should I go with solid carbide, or is HSS sufficient (or more desirable?)
And yes, I would prefer to go with a set ;)
edit-
I should point out that the one of the routers that will be used is a dewalt, which doesn't have an 8mm collet, and would require an adapter. If anyone knows where to get an actually 8mm collet rather than just the reducer, that would be good (it is the dewalt 618)
TIA,
-jamie
