I stopped by one of our local home stores today while killing some time before an appointment and they have a set of Milwaukee M18 tools on sale for $199. The assortment includes a drill, impact driver, two compact batteries, and a charger. Seems like a great deal but I don't know much about Milwaukee's cordless tools. Anyone own these?

I was going to buy a Bosch with 18V compact batteries, then found the Makita with 18V compact batteries that are charger-compatible with my existing 14.4V Makita impact. Both are similar in price to this set's sale price, and I could sell my Makita impact and get back some unkown amount of the total price.

Hi Matt. I replaced my Dewalt 14.4v nicad with the Milwaukee 2601 and impact driver set. I like the tool but would prefer the full size batteries. I have only had it a few months so the jury is still out on this one. The Makita as I understand is a good set as well. Good luck.:)

This is on my Fathers Day wish list. My Craftsman 18v died after 10 years.

Milwaukee tools have always gotten good reviews.
