Hello,
I have some plastic resin glue that was manufactured a little over a 18 months ago. Is this junk now or can it still be used for a lamination project I want to start. The specs say "one year shelf life."

The project is an inside piece of furniture not the subjected to the outdoor elements.

Thanks for any feed back.

It's priolly just fine so long as it was stored dry and at a relatively low temp as in not in your attic.

Make up a small batch and glue some scrap. After it's set, beat the heck out of it and see if it holds.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks Cliff for the quick reply.
It was stored in a dry place and not subjected to attic heat, my friends shop to be exact.

Thanks Mike and Chris,

I'll try that method. It just didn't make sence that a product would be ok one day and then shot the next. There has to be some kind of a curve as quality declines.

I have not used the product before therefor the questions to you experienced woodworkers.

Here's a tip.
When mixing, if the powder won't fully dissolve or remains gritty or clumpy, it's gone.

You can get at least a year if stored below 70deg.
Higher temps accelerate deterioration at an exponential rate. As will high humidity.

Try it and see.
